Well we didn't see this one coming. The tracklist for the new U2 album is available online for all, despite the band's efforts to avoid the incident at all costs.

The band and their manager, Paul McGuiness, have been known for their adamant opposition to online piracy, but somehow finding themselves Out of Control of their music.

Last summer band frontman Bono made an uh-oh by playing his (unreleased) tracks too loudly. A lucky fan enjoying the Beautiful day recorded the incident and of course made it known online, Where the Streets Have no Name. So cruel.

That was The first time. But now, Another Time, Another Place, the full album has slipped onto the internet before release. The reported source of the leak is the Australian Getmusic.com.au, who accidentally had the album online for just a mere moment before recognizing the mistake and pulling the One Minute Warning Red Light. In that minute, another lucky fan/passerby snatched the tracks and the rest is history.

What's a fan to do? You're Stuck in a Moment You Can't Get Out of. You know the band's stance on pirated music. True fans even heard about the albums Mysterious Ways; pre-release media listen-fests were super secret and didn't even permit cell phones. But you too (get it, U2?) realize that the anticipated album is available. Online. Even Better Than the Real Thing. Right now. And other devoted fans will be listening, With or Without You.

Whether you're rushing off to download the tracks (it's illegal, we remind you), or taking the true fans route and Running to Stand Still, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, so am going to check out the U2 Album Reviews and some additional posts:
